ACIB GmbH (Austrian Centre of Industrial Biotechnology)

The ACIB expertise in industrial biotechnology is provided by about 120 employees, nineteen institutes and departments of seven universities at the locations Graz, Vienna and Innsbruck and 25 high-ranking industrial partners.

In-depth knowledge about bioprocesses allows the development of innovative biotechnological production processes and methods, products of environmental sustainability and better cost effectiveness for every day life and health care.

The excellent co-operation between industry and science is the basis for the ambitious ACIB research programme.

The funding institutions of ACIB in the framework of the COMET programme are the Austrian Research Promotion Agency FFG, the Styrian Business Promotion Agency SFG, the Technology Promotion Agency Vienna ZIT and the Tyrolean Future Foundation.
